Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SeINWorks uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and web application. It is part of our broader Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit — like your preferences, login state, and how you use the site.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
- Authentication tokens: we store a session token (JWT) in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. This is essential to deliver the Service.
- Referral attribution: when you visit with a recruiter referral link (
?ref=…), we store the recruiter ID in local storage so we can attribute your signup correctly.
Functional
- Preferences: remembered settings like UI theme or last-viewed tab.
Analytics & Performance
- Error monitoring (PostHog): if enabled, we use PostHog to capture exceptions and aggregate usage analytics so we can improve performance and fix bugs.
3. Third-Party Services
Some features rely on third-party services that may also set cookies or use similar technologies:
- Resend — transactional email delivery (cookies may be set when you click links in our emails for tracking opens/clicks).
- Cloud hosting and CDN providers — performance and security cookies.
- Payment processors — fraud prevention and session management when processing payments.
4. Your Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings — typically under “Privacy” or “Settings.” You can:
- Block all cookies (note: this will break login and core platform features).
- Delete cookies after each session.
- Receive a prompt before cookies are set.
For local storage entries used by SeINWorks (auth token, referral ID), you can clear them via your browser's Developer Tools or by logging out (which clears the auth token).
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because no consistent industry standard exists. We do not sell your personal information regardless of your DNT setting.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects when the most recent changes were made.
